I was one of the people who closed that question, In addition to the FAQ, as pointed out by nhinkle, its the sort of thing that only someone with a detailed knowledge of the GSM phone system would understand - its hardly a general poweruser question, that your average IT professional, or IT enthusiast would know the answer to. SU is for questions involving devices that often have keyboards with closer to 100 buttons than 10 buttons, a screen that's larger than a postcard and run operating systems that are general purpose. They generally sit on the average desk, rather than the average pocket. And as such... i think it was justified to close it. |

So which is the site for smartphone software questions? That would be useful to add to the FAQ. I personally don't see a huge distinction between software for my computer and software for my iPad but I guess lines have to be drawn. |
