I compiled a list with some emojis on a mac editor (Nisus). I want to open (and print the file from a windows PC) the RTF which is produced does open on MS Word, but most of emojis display as squares.

The font type in MS Word shows of as Applesymbol, and I looked if I can import it somehow but I can't find it. Nor can't I find any emoji compatible fonts on MS Word. I'm on MS Word 2013, win 7/sp1.

  • I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it about the use of Apple products as described in the faq. – nohillside Jul 16 at 7:43
  • Fair enough. Any other forums where this can be asked? – dr jerry Jul 16 at 7:45
  • I can migrate it to SuperUser if that would be ok for you – nohillside Jul 16 at 9:22
  • Sounds perfect, I think this question has a better match there (after a quick look, haven't checkout Superuser's policy). Is migrating something I can do? – dr jerry Jul 16 at 9:28
  • For the ancient Win 7 you need to upgrade your Word to get emoji. See mspoweruser.com/… – Tom Gewecke Jul 16 at 9:37
  • I only needed it for printing, so exporting to PDF did the job. – dr jerry Jul 16 at 11:10

I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it should have been migrated to SU rather than SU Meta. – fixer1234 Jul 16 at 11:52

For the ancient Win 7 you need to upgrade your Word to get emoji. See this page.
