I asked [this question](https://superuser.com/questions/961421/change-line-comment-mark-for-a-given-language) and received [an excellent answer](https://superuser.com/a/961430/175382) from [DavidPostill](https://superuser.com/a/961430/175382), for which I am grateful. However DavidPostill always answers questions by repeating the relevant part of the question in the answer. This might make sense in lengthy and multipart questions such as [this](https://superuser.com/a/936790/175382), [this](https://superuser.com/a/949522/175382), and [this](https://superuser.com/a/930503/175382); but I would imagine it to be completely unnecesary in a short and simple question like mine, or like [this](https://superuser.com/a/963152/175382) and [this](https://superuser.com/a/963152/175382) -- the question shouldn't need repeating in the answer. What is the community's feeling on this?
