Editions on SU are very important, it gives sense to much of questions and answers here and I think it desearves a good stimulus(such as ["Editor"][1] and ["Copy Editor"][2] badges), but in my humble opinion it also desearves a counterpart, I mean, if you made a bad edition, you should be "penalized" and receive a feed-back from moderatos and comunity to help you improve your editions. 


Much of editions are good, most of them are useless and some just scratch question/answer sense. My suggestion is a system that, such as questions/answers receives up or down reputation votes, editions could have another similar system... I'm not saying about gives reputation to editions exactly, but there would be for example another gold/silver/cooper badge for example +500/+200/+15 "upvotes" on edition. Each edition "upvote" would sums to reach the badges and each edition "downvote" would decrease this sum. 

This is just an idea that I would like to discuss and to make people think about, fell free to edit/improve anything here...

PS: I already make a lot of "bad" editions but nowadays I already acquired experience to improve editions just as the same way I acquired experience to make better answers and questions that from one year ago(stimulated from reputation system), what I'm thinking here is to provide to new users a way to stimulate to good editions and consequently better answers and questions generally on Superuser...
