Swap the duplicates (the general question is closed, the vista-specific one is open)
@DavidPostill The answer I wanted to post is for Windows 7. If I post a new question about "how to full screen cmd.exe in Windows 7" it would be closed as duplicate too, so it's probably not the best option to create one more duplicate.

"I am hesitant to reopen the question since it already has several answers": why? There is no reason to limit number of answers (the number is low by the way), if there are multiple ways to achieve something.

We don't need Grammerly @Ramhound, it's fine like it is: fully understandable. By the way, superuser.com/questions/7219/… is not better in terms of wording. But the problem is elsewhere: the first is a general question and the second is a vista-specific question, so it's a bit weird to keep the duplicate like this in this context.

I haven't seen so many typos @Ramhound. If there are, we can easily edit them. But forcing a general question (valid for Windows 7, 8, Vista, etc.) to be closed as duplicate of a Vista-specific question is weird: I'd like to post an answer, but I've never used Vista, I don't even know if it would work for Vista, and it makes no sense anyway. About the title: "my CMD" is a reference to
cmd.exe
, I think it's valid.

@Ramhound I spent nearly one hour to write the details in these comments about the Python solution, you removed them, where in the superuser interface can I find them to at least copy/paste them for myself? Thanks in advance.

@Ramhound Thank you for your answer. No problem (I never take things personal online, no worries), but I personally felt it helps users a bit more. When I came to this topic, I would have appreciated to see screenshots, it would have saved me 3 minutes to see how these solutions look like.

@fixer1234 By the way, do you really think my edit
does not make the post even a little bit easier to read, easier to find, more accurate or more accessible. Changes are either completely superfluous or actively harm readability.
? I don't understand why this was mentioned.

@fixer1234 Yes, but even if it's closed as off-topic (and similar questions no longer wanted! I understand that), it is useful (thus the upvotes and favorites), and I think its answers could/should be updated. If not, why not go further and even delete them? (this would be a shame imho)
