Stack Exchange network consists of 183 Q&A communities including Stack Overflow, the largest, most trusted online community for developers to learn, share their knowledge, and build their careers.
Considering that very few of the access-point questions are specifically about wired access points, I don't think having separate tags makes sense. I'm in favor of the latter option (everything folded into access-point).
