Why is my question being VTC'ed?
@Tanner whups, my bad - good call. I wasn't sure at the time I posted the comment, so I didn't take any action (& left it open).

Why is my question being VTC'ed?
I think this question is most on-topic on Server Fault...

Is this question really not constructive, if so how can I salvage it to get some answers?
The problem is you're trying to get a comparison of very obscure, specialized RAID implementations, each designed for a fairly specific purpose. I think the creators of each RAID level provide more than adequate information for you to compare them yourself, for your particular use.

Make the use of an OS tag compulsory for all questions
Two big issues: cross-platform software and the fact that Super User also deals with hardware. I just don't see a reason to force people to tag their questions with one, especially if they had to use "OS Independent"...

Reopen this, it is not not constructive
Your "facts" include a single link to Wikipedia, and only include what you "expect" will happen (your words, not mine sir). I would think something like this has actual factual evidence, but even then, that point can't be used to justify an overglorified question about a shopping recommendation.

Could anyone create a tag called "program-like"?
Actually, there's a lot of websites already in the AlternativeTO database, but that's just a starting trend. I also found http://www.similarsites.com/...

Do we really need the [recursive] tag?
@barlop I was thinking more in terms of recursively-defined sets, but the functional definition is indeed shared between the mathematical and compsci definitions.

Do we really need the [recursive] tag?
@Luke lol my bad, I thought you were just throwing the link there for the definition... Haha that's an awesome find.

Do we really need the [recursive] tag?
@Luke and which of the hundreds of different definitions/uses should we go with? The mathematical definition of a recursive function? The computer science definition, which really has no relation to the "recursive" flag found in most CLI utilities (as the set is already known to be finite)? The definition from a commonly used English dictionary? Based on the definition from some GNU utilities? Am I wrong to believe that if we can't come up with an effective definition for a particular tag, then perhaps that particular tag shouldn't be on Super User to begin with?

Do we really need the [recursive] tag?
And on that point, perhaps another equally relevant question to ask is, how would you describe the tag in its Wiki entry? Could you give it a "meaningful" definition (meaningful being with respect to what tags are and what they're used for)?

Do we really need the [recursive] tag?
@DanielBeck I don't mean to imply that all tags need to be redundant, but there's clearly a disparity between the tag's meaning, and how useful it becomes as a tag. Do you think a generic command-line switch deserves a tag in it's own-right?

Can we please "lock" a post during edit
There's a reason Git and Mercurial don't do this, and likewise, there's a reason the Stack Exchange websites don't. I believe as-is a warning will be displayed if you try to submit an edit to a post that was edited after you started your edits.

Why can we only edit our comments for the first five minutes after posting?
Personally I think 5 minutes is a little low, and 10-15 minutes might be better. That being said, I think we do need a time limit regardless, and while I think the current one is a little short, I'd rather have a time limit than to allow unlimited comment edits.

Difference between tags virus, malware, trojan, infection, worm
I respectfully disagree. There is a difference; however small a new/inexperienced user might think it is, indeed it's a huge technical difference. I think the only "questionable" tags above are
malware
(which technically encompasses all the other tags), and infection
.
