Merge [packet-sniffers] and [sniffer]
I agree, especially given there's only a total of three questions designated
sniffer
and over twenty as packet-sniffers
. I believe sniffer
is a terrible, unintuitive tag, and packet-sniffer(s?)
should be the appropriate one.

Plugging cord into laptop or wall question closed as NARQ
@JourneymanGeek fair enough; just to clarify, I wrote "Moderator" so other people visiting the question wouldn't get confused or assume the OP had written that text.

@DanDascalescu I've simply edited the original question (prefixed with "Moderator Edit") to include the relevant information from above.

Does the question I asked belong here, or is it better on stackoverflow?

What to do if the accepted answer is not the best?
Well that seems like strange behaviour. I would have assumed that sorting answers by votes would put the highest voted answer first, no? Regardless of whom wrote the answer, I think that this behaviour should possibly be changed (i.e. put highest voted answer first, then accepted answer, then remaining highest voted answers).

Procurement vs hardware compatibility
You do realize that they sell both models with either a US English keyboard or a Canadian English/French bilingual keyboard, right? And even if they were out of stock of the English-only keyboard, what's stopping you from purchasing a laptop on the internet? Also, for future reference, don't include any blanket statements (especially political) - it hurts your argument more than helping it.

Anti-virus question, reasons vs opinion
It's a valid question, but a great example of how to get a valid question closed as quickly as possible. Read the question from the perspective of an average computer user (which is whom Super User is trying to appeal to), and you'll see very quickly that the question was asked in a way to try and sway your opinion before the OP even asked what he/she wanted to. We take security questions seriously here on Super User, and I feel that any question that prompts you to prove why you need an antivirus software is of bad form. Start with the most security, and reduce it where needed.
