Aug 24, 2017 at 9:42 | comment | added | Mokubai Mod | I think personally I'd prefer not to dedicate an entire page to when/what/why for Softwarerecs and hardwarerecs unless we really can fill a full page about it, I've changed my answer to actually state what I'd like to see.

Aug 23, 2017 at 16:09 | comment | added | Mokubai Mod | We do indeed have only 5 migration targets, 4 if you don't include [meta]. We can also edit certain pages in our help centre, or maybe we could ask the Stack Exchange team to add a new "pass things to hardwarerecs and softwarerecs" page. That could well be worth posting as a another answer here to guage popularity.
Aug 23, 2017 at 15:56 | comment | added | Ramhound | Isn't the amount of migration targets limited to only a specific number? An argument could be made that the help center should be changed, so when a question is closed similar to the example question above, they are pointed in the correct direction. I do believe that "we" have more or less complete control over what appears in the help center which gets around the migration candidate limit problem (and the fact that hardware recommendations is in beta).
