The question you cite has a different problem. The title is a question. The question body appears to be more of an answer, coupled with a request for general discussion. Granted, which release of software X marked the beginning or end of feature Y, is slightly different, and there's some precedent when a major coding change affects it. For example, there are lots of questions about certain features of Firefox changing with the introduction of Quantum. These were generally on-topic when worded, "why did feature Y suddenly stop working?". (cont'd) | |

This seems like an easy problem to research though, install different versions of VMWare Workstation and verify if the feature exists. It’s not even clear you know the feature was removed. | |
