Jun 24 at 15:51 comment added Slate StaffMod Hey folks, I've removed [status-planned] from this change, as it was last adjusted in 2014. If the purpose of this tag was to draw the attention of Stack Exchange staff, I do want to say that we're still happy to help. If y'all have a need for some action here, I'd encourage you to open a new question to discuss it and develop a modern consensus.

Aug 14, 2014 at 7:35 comment added slhck Mod That would be possible. Much like Windows Update, it'd then be specific and unambigous. We'd have to blacklist the other tags though; I'm sure someone will start creating them again at some point.
Aug 14, 2014 at 7:33 comment added Robotnik @slhck - Hmm. Perhaps a retag of the OSX ones to something like [osx-software-update], to avoid [software-update] being used generically?
Aug 14, 2014 at 7:18 comment added slhck Mod I would have hoped that [software-update] was more related to OS X, where it's actually called like this. Seeing that it isn't, I believe that these tags all need to go.
