After the blog became officially blessed by Jeff we've started to get some more attention on the blog. However, anyone with a keen eye might have spotted that it was mostly KronoS writing posts.
So far most posts were about our Question of the Week, an extensive review of Kingston SSDs (thank you Kingston!) and interviews to put a user in the spotlight. While it has been a great start, we don't want it to stop there! We hope to put more great content on Super User in the spotlight, because while we're somewhat forced to be on-topic and concise on the site; on the blog we have more... artistic freedom to add more context and explain things further.
While several users have already started writing some drafts that you'll start to see in the coming weeks, we can only cover so many topics. To emphasize that the blog is from and for the community:
We're actively looking for users who want to write blog posts!
This will allow us to cover the full breadth of Super User and also that every aspect gets the same attention. So how do you apply? Simply mail me a draft post! Preferably about your favorite or best Super User question/answer; a product review, like about your favorite backup tool or just some crazy Super User-ish technical story! The blog editors will review the submitted posts and the best ones will be published and those users will be added to the regular blog authors.
If you have any further questions, feel free to ask them here or go to the Stack Exchange Community Blog chat-room. Oh and don't forget to mention your user name in your email, I don't know y'all by email adresses!
As Jeff mentioned in his post, I'm able to officially subsidize hardware purchases for writing great blog entries, so we'll be able to do a lot more interesting stuff in the future!
