Why are open-ended questions closed so fast?
Stackoverflow & co are factual and specialized web sites. Discussions are more appropriate for the Internet Relay Chat, Usenet, or the more general-purpose Forums.

Where can I ask questions that aren't Super User questions?
The only visible answer (before this) lists only SE sites. Any question closed on SU as off topic is likely to be closed as off topic on any other SE site, otherwise would they not be transferred ther …
