@Tom, because of the delay in time for this answer, I don't expect the upvotes. I think you'll find more people search for just Excel, which is what you'd do on SO.
@ChrisF, Yes it is, it's saying that a bunch of the work I did will not be rewarded. There are many workarounds, but they decided to take the easy way out, and just dock everyone points.
@random, as you know, there are plenty of on-topic questions that get deleted every day, I know on Meta I burn a lot of undelete votes trying to keep that from happening.
I think it's pretty sad that people would close and downvote just because something might be used illegally. That would pretty much eliminate all computer questions.
