Let's do something about all the old link-only answers
If you could do a search for all of mine, I would be willing to work through those.

Undelete and historically lock question 913055: Troubleshooting a physically damaged (kicked) desktop computer
It got votes for "kicked my computer" not because it was a good question. I mean who has not wanted to kick their computer with extreme prejudice at some point in their life....

The process of closing a question is arguably rather hostile. Can we please find a better way?
I fail to see the "hostility" in how questions are closed on SU. Don't take closures personally.

Why do I lose reputation for questions that I accept as duplicate?
Because you are expected to search SU before asking your question, to be sure it is not a duplicate.

Why do questions get closed?
"Which one of both makes sense?" mine does, everything breaks eventually and data recovery on a SSD will be near impossible or beyond the pocketbook of mere mortals, "less" breakable does not mean it will not break.

Anti-virus question, reasons vs opinion
Seems wrong to close a question that can be salvaged via an edit by someone with enough reps or by the OP, some questions get closed too quickly, disallowing any editing, so what is the point in allowing improvement of poor questions in the first place?

There ain't no such thing as a free tag
I vote for Free-Beer. actually should be used in conjunction with another tag name like, "free-software"

How do we get people to add more information to their question?
Put an arm bar on them, or waterboarding ;;-)
