Proposed resolution : Quoting cannot be called plagiarism
If you really can't add anything to an answer you find elsewhere, it should be a comment, not an answer. Answers should be tested by whoever writes them, so at the very least, you can add something like: "I have found this solution of XY, which I have tested and can confirm it resolves your issue."

Audit failed, why is this not opinion based?
Haha .. in the meantime, you managed to get the question closed because it actually IS opinion based .. Before you raised the issue, it just didn't get enough attention from people with enough privilege to actually close it ...

Is my redacting potentially harmful links the "right" action?
@kreemoweet I've seen websites deliver crypto miners that hid behind the taskbar like that. Advertisement does not need popups. Automatic popups without user action are bad practice and should be banned by any serious webmaster. Advertisers who deliver unwanted popups should be suspendend from the relative advertisement networks.

@kreemoweet "The popups reappeared after a browser restart, i had to clear my history to get rid of them." I consider persistent popups as malicious and potentially harmful. It's called browser hijacking.
