Why was my answer deleted
If you had an issue, and you were trying to install Windows while Intel RST was enabled, and by resetting the firmware resulted in Intel RST becoming disabled. You simply stumbled into a resolution, the real answer to that exact situation, would be to provide the missing driver. I am guessing you cannot confirm which driver was missing, I dislike answers which claim they had the same problem, and after reading them I often conclude they likely didn’t actually have the same problem. It’s often a sign of someone who stumbled upon a solution but doesn’t understand why they had success

@luator - The fact you don’t understand why the firmware reset resolves the problem is exactly the reason you shouldn’t be suggesting it, an educated guess is that you also had an Intel RST issue, and by the firmware resetting your firmware the resulting configuration was changed with regards to Intel RST. Without understanding what settings resulted in the solution to a problem the author identified and confirmed as a conflict with Intel RST it’s hard to say. You like also didn’t have the exact same problem as the author, there many different reasons, you would get that error message.

"I still think it would be good to have that answer." - I disagree with the answer being deleted, but I wouldn't;t say the answer is good because, as I said, the problem that was described would not have been caused by a firmware issue.

You can’t say with a high degree of confidence that updating the firmware would have solved the authors problem because the author of the question gave little to no information. In fact I know it wouldn’t have solved the problem because the author of the question submitted an answer to their own question. The entire problem was Intel RST drivers. You failed to identify this and subsequently submitted an answer that wasn’t related to the author’s problem. It probably shouldn’t have been deleted by the community just downvote for being unhelpful

Why were a good amount of comments from a question removed?
@RomeoNinov - Are you seriously accusing me of insulting you? I am not insulting you. I mean you are asking why temporary comments were delete, the obvious reason, is they were reported as "no longer necessary" and a moderator deleted it. Your first comment to this answer, suggests that you attempted to answer the question, with a comment instead of an answer.

Why were a good amount of comments from a question removed?
@RomeoNinov - If a comment answer(s) the question then it should be deleted, and an answer should be submitted. Answers should NOT be submitted as a comment

Is there a way to hide several year old questions?
Stop thinking Super User as a forum, once you do, you realize older questions are positive not negative

Why are comments being deleted? And by who?
@Robotnik - I only used that one example. My comment left open to other keywords automatically deleting a comment.

@Robotnik - I mentioned that fact.

Only moderators and the user themselves can delete a comment. If a comment containing the key words like “thanks” will automatically be deleted when flagged. Ultimately commentary is temporary.

Why is this question about a web service not moved to Web Apps SE?
The close reason wasn’t selected by enough users. The best thing we could do is delete it so it could be resubmitted. Don’t believe it’s eligible to be migrated today

Consider removing the [windows-10-final] tag synonym from [windows-10]
This question was bump to the front page because of an edit but in my opinion anyone familiar with the history will of Windows 10 would ever interpret Windows 10 final tag to refer to as 22H2 but 1507 (I.e the RTM build). In other words any confusion can be cleared with two sentences.

Please don't turn new user's questions into audit tests
Plenty of new users ask good questions, that are excellent audit questions, and low quality questions make splendid audit questions because far to many users think low quality questions are helpful and don’t downvote them

Is this question from Unix&Linux (closed there) suitable for SuperUser community?
@beyondtime - You can edit your question at any time. Until you improve the quality of your question I cannot recommend you submit your question at Super User. You can edit your question then request it be migrated to Super User. However, as currently written, the question migration likely would be rejected. You should ask on Meta Unix and Linux on ways to improve your question to meet their community guidelines.

Has it ever been considered to raise the 30K character limit for answers?
You would have to make the feature request on meta stack exchange. Chances of it being seen by a developer here is small.
