Nov 20, 2014 at 14:33 comment added Robotnik @Ramhound - that might be a better solution.. If we're keeping it I'd rather the tag(s) be more specific to help define clearly what is allowed/on topic and what isn't. Would you care to add that as an answer?

Nov 20, 2014 at 12:20 comment added Ramhound Couldn't we just change the tag to Android-OS or something along those lines indicating the operating system itself instead of the devices or is that thinking expanding the rabbit hole that is Android devices? All I know is the majority of the questions I see, tagged as Android, are questions I would expect on a Android SE website.. Very few are about trying to communicate that device with a computer except the few questions about the drivers required to do so.
Nov 20, 2014 at 10:59 comment added Robotnik @Sathya - On your first point, there's always the title/body for people to explicitly state they're connecting an Android device. Secondly, Of course it doesn't, but removal of the tag will go a long way to stopping new users from autmatically assuming that having a tag==ok, which is where a lot of the issue lies.
Nov 20, 2014 at 10:39 comment added Sathyajith Bhat Mod I'm not convinced. windows+usb doesn't tell me the question is about connecting an Android phone/tablet which I may know nothing about. Also note that the presence/absence of a tag doesn't define it's topicness for a site
Nov 20, 2014 at 0:52 comment added Robotnik I also considered "It's time we usurped our [android] overlords" for the title
