Electrostatic Discharge got deleted and reputation from the answers disappeared
A question about electrostatic discharge that I had answered was removed today, and with it I lost 592 reputation. The question is available via cache. I don't agree with the rationale for closing it ...

Someone else's legit question deleted
(Edited to be a generic question; see old version if you're curious about specifics)
I googled a question (Q) I had and the only hit was to a deleted (but cached) Q here and it (the Google-cached copy)...
