The tag preview has an ambiguity problem.
About half of the questions tagged with it are about Preview, the image and PDF viewer in OS X. There are other various uses of the tag in questions about previews of new versions of Windows (for which there are existing tags), MS Office Preview, previewing images or rendered code in different image/text editors, print previews, etc. It's all over the map.
My feeling is that having a tag for OS X Preview is perfectly reasonable and helpful. All the other uses of preview really add nothing to the questions.
I suggest we
- rename the tag osx-preview or maybe mac-preview to prevent future misapplication of the tag,
- write a tag wiki explaining the proper usage of the tag, and
- remove the tag from questions where it is misapplied.
There are only 102 questions tagged preview now, so this should be a relatively quick problem to fix.
