The Great [tag-cleanup-request] status-tag cleanup of 2024

We appreciate the assist. I've retagged everything that I felt comfortable retagging, which is pretty much all but 2 posts. I didn't label the status-declined posts cause I did them at a sitting, and …

Is there a "dark mode" setting for Super User?

There isn't one. While in theory stacks (the design/theming engine behind modern SE) supports themes, the resources and will to develop alternate themes outside of Stack Overflow isn't there. There's …

Why does clicking an image URL not work to open it in browser?

Short version would be that hotlinking was disabled with the new image hosting. I'd guess the image loaded on its own (not hotlinked), and you're getting it off the cache. Basically you can't.

I note you posted an almost identical question, complete with the same typos on Parenting. So, we have a fairly comprehensive set of help pages which cover many of these issues, and quite a lot of it …

Why was this flag declined by a moderator?

Well on review - I think converting to a comment would have been the appropriate thing. Mistakes were made, and I've done the necessary. I can't undo the flag rejection so I hope this would be suffici …

Why were a good amount of comments from a question removed?

A fairly common complaint we get about the network as a whole is -well folks asking "why are you doing it this way, why not do it another way?" Sometimes Frame challenges are useful - but in this case …

Is there a way to hide several year old questions?

Don't use the front page - there's a newest question view that should do what you want Questions tab on the left, 'newest' on top tab once you have, rather than the front page. That said, both bumps …

Why are comments being deleted? And by who?

Ah, so - for once, its not our fault. OP asked the question before, re-asked, then self deleted the duplicate question and the comments remain on that original of the duplicate question. The post with …

What to do when an answer seems like it was copied from somewhere else?

If you're not sure, a custom flag wouldn't be a bad idea to get someone to review it. In this case, the user clearly didn't understand the question, and there were a few telltale signs of it being fro …

User vandalized own question - roll back?

Flag the questions with a custom flag. We get automatic notifications on excessive vandalism but this is probably something we want to keep an eye on. As for what's happening... Stack Exchange/Stack O …

How can I appeal the deletion of questions? A question was falsely flagged as "spam or offen...

TLDR: You ask on the per site meta - but I've taken a look and resolved it. Its not a problem with youtube, though admittedly we get a lot of people who try to use our site to promote their own site. …

Please, delete my question regarding svchost.exe

In most cases we'd be disinclined to delete a question - and if memory serves, you can't delete your own question if there's an upvoted answer. A couple of observations. if a large part of an answer …
