Allow instant bounty award for "exemplary answers"
People would just put that in as the reason (even though the actual reason is different) and thus sidestep the whole gist of having to wait some time.

That can be abused easily. If we do implement this, we should take care not to document it in easily seeable places to prevent abuse.

How do we keep dead tags dead?
I think we should blacklist the company tags, but a moderator is disagreeing with me. What do you think? meta.superuser.com/questions/8439/blacklist-the-company-tags

Replacement needs a replacement
You're a moderator, so why don't you tag your own question status-planned? @OliverSalzburg is not afraid of doing so.

Change to the bounty system
@DMA57361 Previously, awarding a bounty was strongly linked with accepting an answer.

Manufacturer & Company tags are back. Again
@Braiam The tags first need to be removed before they can be blacklisted.

They keep being resurrected, as far as I can see. BLACKLIST THEM!!!

Help us clean up tags!
What steps should we take to help stop future misuse (other than a tag wiki)?

Help us clean up tags!
What about tags that are defined to mean one thing, but can be interpreted to mean another thing, and are frequently misused to mean the other thing? Should we post such semi-tag cleanup requests? (e.g. ide really means Integrated Development Environments, not IDE hard drive (PATA))

Add a domain to the spam blacklist
@Sathya Why didn't I get pinged in my notification box even though you edited my question? Also, though mods can't, since developers have access to the spam blacklist, it is still possible that a dev can overturn the declination.

Deletion of several tags
Well, if you see a wiki (or a link to create a wiki), it means that the tag still exists. If you don't see an option to create a tag wiki or edit the existing one, it means that the tag does not exist at all.

Minimal edit distance can be circumvented with comments
It's not the markdown, it's the rendered HTML code that is checked by the system in the difference check. Since sometimes the Markdown parser is changed/updated and since the rendered HTML is saved after parsing once, the system sometimes complains about this even though the Markdown is the same, since there is a slight difference in the rendered HTML codes between the old revision and the new revision, even though the Markdown is exactly the same.

Add a domain to the spam blacklist
Oh, and by the way, it's a distributed attack from many users as I can see.

@nhinkle I still see that link in search results on the main site. Is it just a temporary caching issue?
