Reason for

this? ;-) Also, the What's meta? link in help links to the main page. So it's not like this isn't broken already.

Why do line breaks not work for me in comments?
@Pablo678 You're reading the wrong help section. When adding a comment, you get this explanation, linking to this section of the formatting help which starts with the following statement: Comments support only bold, italic, code and links; in addition, a few shorthand links are available.. Nothing deceptive about it.

Including a link to Super User profile with résumé/cover letter... Thoughts? Experience?
Some questions on one meta site or another make great SO or SU main site questions. Example. So there's probably always some overlap…

There aren't more than five slots, and the stats don't justify replacing any of the current targets. Migrations from SU in the last 90 days: 5x U&L, 1x Ubuntu, 99x Webapps (6% rejected), 70x SF (7% rejected), 63x SO (3% rejected), 55x Android (9% rejected).

This is a great example why these migration paths would be harmful: Users would likely just migrate questions for no good reason (I suggested the same thing once). See here, here, and here for related discussion.

How does the Community user have 3 reputation here on Meta?
@nhinkle Maybe it's main site rep that hasn't been synched yet?

Suggested edits by anonymous users are attributed to Community. IIRC if one is accepted, Community gets the rep, and it's periodically reset. Not sure though.

Why is the general off-topic close reason when closed by a moderator slightly shorter than when closed by the community?
@gparyani Thanks. I doubt rejected migrations live any longer though. We'll see.

Why is the general off-topic close reason when closed by a moderator slightly shorter than when closed by the community?
@gparyani Qs that have been closed more than a few months ago use the previous close reasons from before they were redesigned in late 2013 (and are useless to this discussion), and most closed qs get auto-deleted 9 or 30 days after they're closed (a reason we don't have to delete everything manually BTW). For example, only ~20% of qs I closed in the last three months are still generally available. So it's rather common for discussions about closure that referenced qs get deleted and are only available to users with 10k+ rep. Feel free to suggest a q, I haven't found any safe from deletion.

Should we reopen #693440 and #617327?
Fixed the duplicate to point to an identical question.
