Why was “How do you configure a Windows machine for a Linux user?” closed as too broad?
Does it matter? A 4 year old question that already has two good answers is unlikely to attract any new answers.

Proper behaviour: to rollback or to re-edit a not working accepted edit?
You should rollback and re-edit pointing out that the command has changed on newer systems. Bonus points if you can include version numbers for when the change took place.
