Why was this Nushell question closed?
I 100% agree that questions are closed way too easily across the whole StackExchange network, however in this case is it maybe because the question isn't clearly about nushell? I know it's tagged, but the tag is very easy to miss. Why not put "nushell:" in the title to make it super clear? Every other question with a nushell tag has nushell in the title.

Seriously consider removing the "no software recommendations" rule, or stop moderators from abusing it
@DavidPostill And I really fail to see how my question falls foul of any of the recommendations in your "What topics can I ask about" article. My question seems to fit right in, and should be re-opened.

@DavidPostill If you check out my question which was closed, I wasn't just asking for a straight recommendation. I followed the guidelines on how to ask. I described my problem and described a desired solution; users are free to recommend solutions which aren't just straight up "use this software". That's what annoys me about this rule being [ab]used.

How do I ask a question that may require recommending software?
This rule is absolutely ridiculous and seriously makes me think twice, or three times, about using StackOverflow or any associated sites. I spend time writing a well-thought-out question, posing my problem and asking for solutions -- not necessarily just a list of software names -- and the question is closed almost immediately because of this stupid, pedantic, inane rule. Meanwhile across the site, hundreds of shit-tier "questions" about simple programming tasks remain open despite barely being written in coherent English. I know many people feel the same way about SO because of this crap.
