Also, I found out why the YouTube link was not working. Apparently, its a bug on SuperUser. If you post a <h1>...</h1> line, and you press one enter, the next line cannot contain an URL, it will not parse. But if you put an empty line in between, it works.

OMG. I see what happened. I copy/pasted the video, but the copy failed, and it posted an earlier copy. Yeah, the edit is justified. And... I feel so dumb now LOL

@JourneymanGeek I had disabled adblocker entirely, but vivaldi syncs that to my other pc, where I use youtube, so that just was not an option. Its enabled again, but haven't had a notification in the meanwhile, so I'm not sure.... But not gonna test it as this annoyance is not as bad as ads all over the place on my main pc.

@JourneymanGeek well, I've disabled my adblocker for both meta.superuser.com and inside vivaldi, and this notification still doesn't work. I'll disable the extension entirely and try that. I am using stylus too for CSS editing, maybe that somehow interferes.

@JourneymanGeek I'll pause my adblock on superuser in all ways possible on my terminal server and see if the problem goes away. I am using Vivaldi though, so the problem may be in that too.

@JourneymanGeek just curious, have you been able to get more into this? This problem still happens on my end.

The notifications, after I click them, are not even marked as read on my end. I go to the link it provides, but they're not marked as read either, and nor does the number changed. The link Read All is the only one that works, and this is across all the computers I use.

Vivaldi is basically Chrome, but modified. But thanks for your efforts @JourneymanGeek

Honestly, I agree with you @Felix. I do think the mod jumped the gun on this one and although you may have used a bit of poor wording, the quesiton itself should be perfectly fine. Instead of hoping that its going to be reopened, I think it might be a better idea to give the question a bit more thought and then post a new one. Try to use the wording why is..., rather than I'm wondering to attract factual answers.

I actually disagree. But only to the amount. 1 is too little I think. Maybe 3 is a good limit. A normal user could make a question that gets closed for some reason, and it should not also block them from making more. It would piss me off greatly if that were to happen to me. Sure, after 3 questions, yeah, but 1 is too few. Another option is, allow users to make those multiple posts, but after the 1st one, another one automatically goes into a review queue.

I totally agree with the open letter, and as such signed it myself.

I've been gone myself for quite a while because of the changes on the site, and recently found a way to work around the issues that kept me away. I was not aware of a strike, but that explains things. thanks for the answer.
