The check and "OTE" are not visually linked—in fact, the (lack of) kerning, differences in aliasing, and the vertical alignments suggests that they're unrelated. Even after having it explained, it's magic-eye level of hard to keep seeing the word "vote". Colour by itself isn't enough to make them visually joined.
